“In 2015, I became the founder of a New Jersey Licensed Preschool named Sprouts Early Education Academy in Linden, New Jersey. Our program served children between the ages of two and a half through five years old. We helped many children in our community by providing them with a safe, nurturing, stimulating, and reliable learning experience.  After working with children for nearly ten years, I became aware of my purpose in life.

My holistic philosophy on the development of healthy children is composed of three very important essentials: access to high-quality early education, positive parenting styles, and the development of empathy. Children can learn more when the learning environment allows them the opportunity for hands-on experiences, curiosity, and creativity.

My involvement in early education in the past has led me to become an advocate for the importance of accessibility to high-quality early education. I have received my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, which has allowed me to learn more about children, adults, and families in our everyday interactions. I am now on a mission to help parents during the most critical years of childhood by providing consultation and support. My experience as a former preschool owner has allowed me to provide guidance to site directors and area coordinators on compliance, expectations, and licensing readiness in the state of New Jersey.” Diana Umana
